Hi! We're Lauren & Lewis.
Fuelled by a shared passion for celebrating our community, we have created an exciting platform to showcase the talents of our amazing local creatives.
As parents of two young boys, Elijah + Isaiah, it's super important to us to make all of our events family friendly + FUN. Our boys are our absolute world + the reason behind us starting Homegrown. We wanted to create something which would give us the opportunity to work together at home, enable us to support others + have some form of work/life balance (if that's even a thing for small biz owners!)
We’re all about spreading happy vibes & kindness and are super excited to be on this market running, (crazy) venture together! If you see us at an event, please say hi! We’d love to meet you!
We operate Homegrown eco-consciously...
What does this mean? Well, in a nutshell, we are passionate about reducing our environmental impact so we have a few incentives to keep our event running as green as possible.
We have a three bin system which allows for food waste to be composted & recyclables to be separated from general waste
We only accept stall holders that agree to our eco guidelines which include the banning of plastic packaging & request stall holders to offer refill systems
Our ‘Mug Libraries’ offer an alternative to a single use coffee cup, attendees are welcome to borrow a mug & simply chuck it in our wash bin after use
We are by no means perfect, but we’re trying! We’re always looking for new ways to operate in a more

What are Homegrown markets regular stall prices?
Speers Point Park + Bimbadgen
3x3m general = $85+gst
hot food = $120+gst
The Station + Nelson Bay
3x3m general = $95+gst
hot food (Station)= $130+gst
hot food (Nelson Bay) = $150+gst
Do all products have to be handmade?
At our Newcastle events, ALL products must be handmade by the stall holder attending. At Speers Point + Bimbadgen + Nelson Bay, we will also allow stalls that design their products, please note we may require proof of design.
Do stall holders need insurance?
All stall holders must provide their own $20m public liability insurance. We will require a copy of your certificate within 7 days of stall approval.
What set up do I need?
All standard sites are 3x3m & you must provide your own marquee - any colour is fine. More stall set up details are outlined in our stall holder agreement upon acceptance.
Can I share a stall with my friend?
We do not accept split stall applications. All stall holders must apply separately outlining all products they intend to sell. Any new products added after acceptance require prior approval before bringing to market days. For example, candle makers cannot bring body products without seeking authorisation from Homegrown management.
What are the COVID safety requirements for stall holders?
All stall holders must complete their own covid safe plan, register their business as covid safe + adhere to all covid safety protocols outlined in our signed agreement.
Are dogs allowed at Homegrown?
Yes, absolutely, YES! Furry friends are welcome at all of our locations.
